The fresco is a mirror of the former communist Romanian regime where images were usually homage to the working class heroes. Here, I also present new heroes enlisted to construct a new social system, subject to a new set of values. The new concepts depicted are, The Job, The Mall, Gadgets, Cars and Villas as signs of social status. All these aspects are shown in the fresco of the “Capitalist Worker Hero”. Everything that our heroes are aspiring to now is irreparably stealing their freedom, the freedom they aspired to. The project does not want to weigh or compare social systems but, by their proximity, highlight the weakness of the capitalist system and its development in Romania”. Emanuel Borcescu
