This December marks twenty five years since the Romanian Revolution in 1989 and the overthrowing of the communist regime. The defeat of Nicolae Ceaușescu’s dictatorship represented a crucial moment for Romania, which was vital for restoring democracy. The young generation of Romanian visual artists’ will bring to the public’s attention, through their artwork presented at Beelden aan Zee Museum, their vision on the historical events of Romania’s recent past.
