Lenin \u00eenc\u0103 din 1990, soclul din fosta Pia\u0163\u0103 a Sc\u00e2nteii a g\u0103zduit lucr\u0103rile unor arti\u015fti precum Andrei Ciubotaru, Mihai Balko, Bogdan Ra\u0163a, Ileana Oancea, Virgil Scripcariu, Aurel Tar sau Mihai Zgondoiu. Fiecare proiect inclus \u00een volum este documentat fotografic \u015fi este \u00eenso\u0163it de un comentariu semnat de critici de art\u0103, jurnali\u015fti, arti\u015fti sau curatori. Printre ace\u015ftia \u00eei reg\u0103sim pe Magda C\u00e2rneci, Luiza Vasiliu, Cristian Neagoe, Vlad Ursulean, Dan Perjovschi, Cosmin N\u0103sui sau Dan Popescu.<br \/>\nProiect 1990 a fost ini\u021biat \u00een ianuarie 2010 prin amplasarea unei replici a statuii lui V. I. Lenin de Boris Caragea, intitulat\u0103 Ciocan vs. Ulyanov pe soclul din Pia\u021ba Presei Libere din Bucure\u0219ti. Arti\u0219tii invita\u021bi apoi de Ioana Ciocan s\u0103 expun\u0103 \u00een Proiect 1990 au reu\u0219it, \u00een peste patru ani de zile, s\u0103 creeze o nou\u0103 identitate a soclului lui Lenin. On December 21st 1989, masses had gathered in front of the Central Committee building in Bucharest where Ceau\u0219escu was holding a speech condemning the uprising in Timi\u0219oara. As it turned out it was the last time the dictator addressed the people &#8211; the crowd started to boo him. One can hear his dismay, and that of his wife Elena, in The Last Speech by Andreea Dobrin; he is in shock, he cannot believe that the country no longer worships him \u2013 especially since he had managed to establish a powerful following that had idolized him for almost three decades. The couple fleeing in the Dauphin helicopter while the thousands of people are shouting \u201cDown with Ceau\u0219escu!\u201d on December 21st 1989; it represents the crucial moment when the power shifted from Ceau\u0219escu to<br \/>\nthe people: the moment of change. Elena and Nicolae Ceau\u0219escu were executed on December 25th after a brief and questionable trial. The books, magazines and newspapers published during Ceau\u0219escu\u2019s regime used to mention how his self-fashioned Golden Age would last millennia.
